Job Management

Job Management is a comprehensive manufacturing control module, designed specifically for the routing, scheduling, costing and tracking of parts manufactured on the shop floor. These parts can be either custom parts or repetitive parts that may eventually be sold out of finished goods inventory.

A Methods of Manufacturing file stores standard routing and material information for each manufactured part. This file can be continually updated on the system. Job entry for a repeat parts takes minimal effort. Analysis tools provide the quick and accurate reference necessary for requoting a part or identifying the types of work at which your company is most profitable.

Job Costing
Compare actuals to estimated; review job costing for materials, subcontracting, operations (labor/burden); and compare projected and actual billings for profitability analysis. Job costing can be performed on a job-by-job, customer, part, product group or overall company basis.

Order-to-Job Linking
Handles one job/one delivery, one job/multiple deliveries, blanket production runs, and internal work orders to build parts to finished goods inventory.

New/Change Order Notification Browser
Verify that no orders or changes fall through the cracks by viewing and selecting new orders and change orders from job entry. Optionally track all job changes via user ID, date and description.

Advanced Bill of Materials
View assembly bill of material structure with indented levels.

Planned Overproduction of Assemblies
Over-production quantities can be produced on a job and auto-received to inventory.

Burden Rates
Set up burden as a fixed rate or percentage of labor. Separate setup and production, projected labor and burden rates.

Online Cost Tracking
Review estimated versus actual costs by overall job and individual material, subcontracting and operation sequence.

Assemblies
Routing, costing and tracking of single- or multiple-level assembly parts.

Scheduling
Base scheduling functions include forward, backward and infinite capacity scheduling. More advanced functions, including finite capacity scheduling, are available in the Vantage Scheduling module.

Job Tracker
Overview a specific job and check the status of all assemblies, operations and materials, including subcontract status.

Quality Control
Extensive tracking and analysis of scrap, rework and added operations.

Productivity
Extensive tracking and analysis of efficiency and utilization figures by employee, operation, work center and department.

Material Shortage Flag
Query material availability at the time of job entry to determine whether jobs can be started within scheduled time period.

Integration
The Job Management module is entirely integrated with all other modules.
